Hey, hey there peeps!
Yesterday was supposed to be the day I finally weighed myself for the first time since before Christmas. Unfortunately, my scale had broken so I had to go buy a new one.
This afternoon after work I went to Target and bought the Taylor “Biggest Loser” CalMax scale. I’m a little worried after reading the reviews on Amazon, but hopefully I won’t have any problems with it.
I was going to wait until tomorrow morning, but was impatient so I went ahead and weighed tonight. 163.2!! I’m happy with that.
I pretty much stayed the same over the holidays.
This scale also gives BMI and the # of calories you would have to consume to maintain your weight. As you can see on the Progress tab, I am marginally overweight. I need to lose about 7-10 lbs to be at a healthy weight.
According to the scale I could eat 2542 cal./day and stay the same. So, using this as a guide if I consume 2000 cal./day I should lose about a lb./week. Interesting hypothesis. I realize that a scale is not the best source of information, but I think it could be a good guide in the process.
Now…on to the food. The husband brought me home my favorite for breakfast this morning. A doughnut! Yum!
Not the healthiest start to the day, but I made up for it with my mid-morning snack.
I had a single serving container of 0% Fage with strawberries and Multigrain Cheerios. This kept me full for a couple of hours before I dug into lunch.
Lunch was a packet of Madras Lentils mixed with some leftover Amy’s Lentil Soup I needed to eat.
No pictures, but it would have just looked like a brown yucky mess anyway.
After lunch I let the stress of stuff going on at work drive me to eat a Hershey’s Bar with Almonds.
As I said previously I stopped at Target after work. I stopped at Starbucks inside and decided to try something new. A Vanilla Roiboos Tea Latte. It was a thumbs down from me. I barely drank any of it. I’ll be sticking to Chai Tea Lattes from now on.
While at Target I picked up a knee sleeve, some mini Luna Bars, the scale, and a lunch bag. I’ll try to remember to take a picture of the bag tomorrow. It’s super cute. I also got a Clif Mojo Peanut Butter Pretzel Bar that I ate in the car.
This was great! I’ll definitely be picking this up again.
Other things that ended up in my shopping bag were Annie’s Mac n Cheese and Mary’s Gone Crackers.
The Mac N’ Cheese became part of dinner. It was mixed with peas and tuna. Total Comfort Food!!
Dessert (because I so obviously needed it) was some 1/2 the fat Vanilla ice cream with an Oreo cone crumbled on top.
So, I need to focus on eating around 2000 cal. and/or burning any extra calories. Obviously I also need to focus on cutting down on the sugar, too.
Now, it’s time for me to go to bed. I hope you had a wonderful day!

I wish I could say the same about my weight over the holidays!!! I put on 8 pounds!! I understand from reading that is “normal” but I was very disappointed. I have been really working on getting it off before my doctor’s apt. March 15. I have been running 3-4 miles at the start of the week, and I’ve added running a mile before yoga on Tues., Thurs., and Fri. This has really helped me alot! It warms up my ‘core’ so that I get more out of my yoga hour. But, as I have said so many times; YOU are my ‘inspiration’!!!! Keep at it!!
I think I’d go all scale crazy if I had one of those things at home. The tape measure is a better system for me because it takes twice the effort to note the inches than stepping on the scale.
I love all the clif mojo bars. Aren’t they lovely? Now I want some mac n cheese
